FAQs

1. What do I need to bring with me on the day?

Players should wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes to travel home in. We strongly recommend boots with ankle support and deep tread/rubber soles – it can be muddy, wet and slippery in the woodlands. Some players may choose to wear wellies or football boots if it is muddy during the winter months – but it is up to each individual to decide if they want to choose a waterproof option rather than the safety of ankle support. Armoured paintball gloves are available to rent at the venue, or you can bring your own if you wish. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs (we accept cash and credit/debit cards)

2. Can I bring my own paintball equipment?

You can bring your own equipment to the venue, but it is always at the discretion of the venue manager whether you can use it. You can bring your own goggles, provided they are designed for paintball, have not been modified in any way and are in good order, these must be inspected by the venue manager before any game takes place. You can bring your own gun, but only if it can operate from a compressed air tank and subject to a chronograph test at the owners cost, and at the discretion of the venue manager. We do allow customers’ to use their own 3000/4500 psi compressed air cylinders at the venue but this is subject to inspection prior to any games taking place and can only be filled by a trained member of Conflict Paintball staff.

3. Can I bring my own paintballs?

No, for health and safety reasons, and to maintain a consistent safety standard at the venue you can only use paintballs sold by Conflict Paintball on the day of your event. Any player found to be using paintballs other than ones purchased from Conflict Paintball and in breach of this rule will result in an immediate removal from site with no refunds.

4. How many paintballs will I need?

There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use. The average usage (by juniors and Adults) is 400-600 paintballs per person per day. You can purchase paintballs at the venue first thing in the morning or throughout the day, during the breaks between games.

5. How can I purchase additional items on the day?

Additional items such as paintballs, drinks, snacks, glove hire and pyrotechnics can be purchased from the service desk in the safety zone with cash or card (Minimum £10 spend when using a debit or credit card). Please note we do not accept payment on site by cheque or run a tab.

6. How many players do I need to bring?

There is no minimum or maximum number of players required; any group size is fine (although we may require a minimum spend level in order to open a centre for midweek games). You will be joined with other players on the day to make up teams.

7. I’m not sure how many players I have, but I want to book now so that I don’t miss out on the date I want. What should I do?

You can make a provisional booking for the players that you would like to bring (Max 20 players), assuring you your desired game date. Because the venue has a maximum capacity you will be contacted by the booking office if confirmed bookings reach these levels to whether you wish to go ahead with the booking or not. If for any reason you can’t be contacted or committed to the booking your spaces will be available on a first come first serve basis. To avoid disappointment please pay your deposits ASAP.

8. Is paintball safe?

Paintball is very safe when all rules, safety instructions and safety equipment are followed and worn correctly as instructed by our staff. Conflict Paintball is fully insured and members of the UKPSF with an impeccable safety record.

Our Paintball equipment is made by Tippmann who are a world known manufacture in the paintball industry and are supplied to every one of our customers as standard. Our fully trained safety marshals run at a ratio of 1 per 10 players – is a considerably better ratio than 90% of other paintball sites. All of our paintball markers are choreographed twice a day to assure they are within the legal requirements set out by the UKPSF and our insurers.

9. Will my child be playing with adults?

Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, they are often groups of mixed ages. On the game fields our fully trained marshals are there to make sure your child/children are playing in a safe and fair environment.

10. What’s involved in a day?

Arrival times will vary depending on what session you have booked and are listed below.

09:00am for a morning half day session
09:00am for a full day session
13:00pm for a afternoon half day session

Members of staff will be in the car park to meet and greet your group and show you to your dedicated undercover seating area and explain the procedures of filling in your disclaimers and collecting your camouflaged coveralls for your paintball session.

PLEASE NOTE!
All players of your group must be at the venue to take part in the safety briefing which will be carried out no later than 30 minutes after the arrival time stated above for your paintball session, we reserve the right to cancel your booking with no refunds if you are unable to attend our scheduled safety briefings.

Once all disclaimers have been handed in and everyone is in their coveralls you will then take part in our safety briefing detailing the proper use of the equipment and all the do’s and don’ts regarding safety on the fields and during play, this part of your day is very important as the improper use of the equipment and disregard to the rules set out in the safety briefing could result in you being rejected from further games if we feel you are at risk of causing deliberate harm to others and yourself.

Once the briefing has finished you will be asked to return to your dedicated seating area and wait for your group to be called up to purchase your first lot of paintballs and any additional add-ons that are available from the service counter, during this time we will split your group into teams and issue your paintball goggles and paintball hoppers.
If you are playing for a full day that includes lunch, a separate member of staff will come to your table and take your personal Domino’s pizza order.

PLEASE NOTE!

Only paintballs purchased from Conflict Paintball can be used at the venue.
Once paintballs have been purchased they can’t be refunded.
All free paintballs or lunches included in any offer will only be given to attending players and are non transferable and non refundable and paintballs will be issued to each attending player after your lunch break.

At this point your all ready to get going!, the staff will notify you when they are about to get going to play your first two games so make sure you have plenty of ammunition to last and have adjusted all your protective gear so that you are comfortable and ready for conflict.

The staff will now take you through to the gun rack where you will be handed your paintball gun for you to attach your team colour paintball hopper and have a quick blast on the firing range before walking you to your first game zone to receive your mission brief.

When the first two games are finished, staff members will bring you back through to the safe zone so you can have a well deserved rest and a free tea or coffee while preparing for your next objective.

There are six games in total before we stop for lunch and six after lunch, all either on different fields or game types so please be sure to keep your hoppers topped up and have your goggles cleaned and anti-fogged regularly by a member of our staff to ensure the best visibility possible for your paintball experience.

Finish times are listed below.

13:00 pm for a morning half day session
17:00 pm for a full day session
17:00 pm for a afternoon half day session

11. What happens if the weather is bad?

The games go ahead regardless, in all weather conditions. All the game zones are outdoors in woodland areas, so we recommend you bring wet weather gear and sturdy boots with ankle support and deep tread. Some players may opt for the comfort of wellington boots over the safety of boots with ankle support, and it is advisable to bring a spare pair of shoes to go home in. There are sheltered areas within the safe zone where you can store your belongings between games.

13. Can I use the paintballs if a player/players do not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?

Unfortunately not.  If anyone fails to attend the event on the date you have booked, the prepayment for game fees, paintballs and lunches for that person/people will be forfeited for the day.  All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

14. I’m bringing a group of 12 year olds for a birthday party, does an adult need to stay at the venue?

Yes, All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the day but is not required to participate in the games. Children between the age of 16 -18 must have an adult present during the safety briefing but are welcome to leave as soon as the first game has started.

15. How old do you have to be to play?

All players must be at least 11 years old (or Year 7 at school), to play this type of paintball known as 0.68 calibre paintball, this is an industry standard backed up by the United Kingdom Paintball Sports Federation, We would suggest that any site offering (0.68 calibre paintball) to under 11’s is not regulated by the United Kingdom’s Paintball Sporting Federation (UKPSF) and should be avoided. Conflict Paintball’s UKPSF Site Membership Number is 635

If anyone is younger than 11 or year 7 at school we would recommend low impact Paintball which is exactly the same as paintball but using much smaller 0.50calibre paintballs, much lighter/less powerful paintball markers and includes more protective equipment to keep your little ones safe. Please email info@conflictpaintball.com or call 07582777169 for more information.

16. Do I need to fill out a registration form?

All players are required to complete a disclaimer/registration form before they begin play. Players under 18 years must have their form signed by an adult. We suggest you send these out with your invitations

(Please see Downloads for registration forms and birthday invites). The other parents should return their completed registration forms for you to bring with you to the paintball centre on the day of your event.
